After the premiere in Miskolc in June, the Budapest Operetta and Musical Theatre will also present the Semmelweis opera in the Store Theatre at the end of September – announced György Lőrinczy, Director-General, at the press conference about the 2018/2019 season.
Martin Boross, Director, told about the play on Ignác Semmelweis’ life by Raymond J. Lustig and Matthew Doherty that the oratorical work will lead the audience to the protagonist’s soul who fights with himself and with the world on the confine of reality, nightmares and fictions.
The Hungarian premiere of the play will be performed at the Bartók Plusz Opera Festival in Miskolc in June, in the co-production of the Festival and the Budapest Operetta and Musical Theatre; and the audience of Budapest can see the play on the 28th of September in the studio theatre of the Budapest Operetta and Musical Theatre in Nagymező street.
